WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -- The Greenbrier is known for it's beauty, so what better way to celebrate it than a visit from Mrs. America?Shelley Carbone, the current Mrs. America, stopped by America's Resort for the upcoming Mrs. America Pageant that will be held there March 31 to April 14.It's the first time the event will be held on the East Coast, and Shelley Carbone said she's so excited to have it at the Greenbrier.
"This is the first time I've been to West Virginia, this is the first time I've been to the Greenbrier," said Carbone, "and I am just in awe at its beauty, it's grand, it's glamorous, it really is awe-inspiring."Carbone is originally from Connecticut and is a registered nurse and mother of four.She said giving up her crown will be bitter-sweet, but she said she's already working on the next phase of her life.
